LED lamps reduce costs, waste and heat in your home


After one hundred-plus years of genius, the incandescent light bulb is slowly being replaced by Compact Fluorescent Light (CFL) bulbs. The swirled or u-shaped bulbs are available on every store shelf and probably make up the majority of your in-home lighting already. Local power supplier Duke Energy even sends out coupons to home owners for free CFL bulbs due to their efficiency over incandescent bulbs.
